The package (zerocool/chatbox)
An embeddable chat, optional settings panel, and Artisan commands. The assistant can only read tables you mark as allowed. You pick the AI model; keys live in your .env.
Laravel package + cloud licensing
Ask your database in plain language. Answers backed by real data.
Install ChatBox on your Laravel app. The assistant reads the tables you allow and answers with what is actually there — not what it guesses. Licenses are managed from this portal.
Product
Two parts: the package runs on your Laravel; this site handles licenses and access to the private registry.
An embeddable chat, optional settings panel, and Artisan commands. The assistant can only read tables you mark as allowed. You pick the AI model; keys live in your .env.
Create an account, pay for the license, get keys and the Composer token here. We do not see your data or conversations — we only check that the license is still active.
How it works
Via Composer (portal token) and a few Artisan commands. Publish config and add your Gemini, OpenAI, or other key.
Mark what the assistant may read. ChatBox builds the queries. Test from the admin panel until answers match your business.
Web component, JSON API, or PHP in your code. Export to Excel or PDF if needed.
Copy the portal key to your .env. Revoke it and the install stops working after a short while.
What you get
Every number comes from a real query. You control which tables the assistant sees.
For each allowed table, ChatBox can count and search. Read-only by default.
Web component, API for your frontend, test panel, and Artisan terminal. Same logic everywhere.
Gemini, OpenAI, Anthropic, or compatible. You supply keys; we do not store them.
Multiple brands, seats, revocation from the portal. Built for agencies with more than one install.
Implementation
Quickstart, configuration, use cases, and security. Written so someone on the team can follow it without having built the product.
Install with Composer
Token in Portal → Install. After paying for the license:
composer config --auth http-basic.chatbox.hifenix.com \
composer cbx_cmp_…
composer require zerocool/chatbox:^1.3 -W
php artisan chatbox --bootstrap --assets --views
php artisan migrate
Key in .env
cbx_live_… key from Portal → Keys. Check with php artisan chatbox --status.
CHATBOX_LICENSE_ENABLED=true
CHATBOX_LICENSE_KEY=cbx_live_…
CHATBOX_LICENSE_URL=https://chatbox.hifenix.com/v1/license/validate
Security
We only receive what we need to validate the license. No rows, prompts, or AI keys.
More on securityWho it is for
FM, retail, back-office, ERP… If you already have a Laravel app and want an assistant that talks to your database — without building another product from scratch — this fits.

About me
Systems engineer · Data · mobile · AI · infrastructure
For more than fifteen years I have designed and built systems end to end. My strongest ground: databases (design, modelling, optimisation), native and cross-platform mobile apps, and AI integration — models, SDKs, orchestration, and AI languages — in products that have to survive production, not just a demo.
I also cover the rest of the stack when the problem asks for it: PWAs and SPAs, servers and infrastructure, and applied cybersecurity (boundaries, access, data that must stay where it belongs). I do not lock myself to one framework: I pick what the system needs and carry it until a team can operate it with confidence.
Aaron Swartz left me a clear compass: useful knowledge should not sit behind needless walls. That idea shapes how I design. ChatBox is a concrete example — HiFenix the brand, ZeroCool Network where the code lives. If you need architecture, data, mobile, serious AI, or want to talk about the product, write me.
